About Nexate

Nexate is an independent research notebook: long-form analyses of AI agents, systems thinking, reverse engineering and security, written to be reread rather than scrolled past.

What you will find here

The Library collects long-form, interactive guides: handbooks that help you decide or understand a field, with reference data, tools, decision aids, a glossary and sources. They are updated over time. Research notes — essays and analyses you read once and cite — are planned.

Everything is organised into eight topics. Each topic owns one colour; status and evidence use a separate set of colours, always with a text label; everything else is monochrome.

How the research is produced and checked

The research is AI-assisted. Guides are researched and drafted with AI tools, then translated, restructured and checked by Nexate. Every guide says so in its own disclosure, lists its sources at the end and states the date its facts were last checked (“knowledge as of”).

Evidence labels

Where the weight of a claim matters to a decision, it carries one of fivelabels. A claim from an AI-generated source that cannot be verified is labelled at most an observation or an interpretation. Heuristics hidden in a source — scores computed in code, for example — are published as explicit data, labelled Interpretation, with a note on the method.

Verified fact
Backed by primary documentation or a reproducible source cited in the sources.
Industry observation
Widely reported practice or trend (surveys, engineering blogs), not universally true.
Benchmark-dependent
True only under specific workloads, versions or hardware.
Interpretation
The author’s (or the AI draft’s) judgement, heuristics or scores.
Emerging / uncertain
New, contested, fast-moving or unverifiable at the knowledge-as-of date.

Translation

Some source material is written in Polish. It is translated into British English for meaning, completely: nothing is summarised, omitted or embellished, and numbers, ranges, versions and names are kept exactly as they are. Where the original is ambiguous, the conservative reading is chosen and a translator’s note records it. Established English technical terms are kept.

Maturity

Every guide shows how finished it is.

Seedling
Early, incomplete, may change radically.
Working draft
Complete enough to use; expect revisions.
Evergreen
Maintained; reviewed at least yearly; changes logged.

Corrections

Errors that are found are corrected, and each correction is logged in the changelog at the end of the guide concerned.

Anonymity and privacy

  • The author is anonymous. “Nexate” is the only author name used on the site.
  • There are no trackers, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies.
  • Your browser talks to this site only. Fonts and scripts are served from here; there are no embeds, CDNs or third-party requests.
  • Everything can be read without JavaScript. With it, your browser’s local storage keeps two kinds of preference on your device: whether ambient motion is paused, and the state of a guide’s tools, such as a checklist’s progress or the comparison tray. Nothing is sent anywhere.
  • Links to other sites carry no tracking parameters and send no referrer.

Colophon

A static site: every page is complete HTML, and scripts only enhance it. Set in Sora, Newsreader and DM Mono, served from this site. The point cloud behind the home page and the Library is drawn with WebGL; with reduced motion, without WebGL or without JavaScript it becomes a still image.
